Condolence From: Renee Marquis-Antle
Condolence: Janet and I did voice over work together for several years and we understood each other. In the boiler maker atmosphere of a recording studio when your creative sparks are flying it's a bit like a Petri dish for growing connections. Janet and I got each other's wry and sardonic humour from the first moment we shared a booth. Hers was a rare gift for understatement, of less is more. And there was always so much more to Janet than met the eye. Complex, curious and beautiful, we actually danced when we discovered that we shared the same birthday, although in different years. When I read that she had "lost her battle with cancer" my immediate response was this;

No she did not. She just took her out point before it got even worse. She is not gone. She is just out of a failed body. She did not lose her battle, she made a decision. That is Janet. She chooses. She lost nothing. I will miss her living in her body but her beingness is not extinguished. Not Janet's. Never Janet's. "Well hello, all, how does THIS gig work." Echoing in Heaven this very minute......see you there.....love always.

I wish you the comfort of knowing that your Janet's bright light shines on.

Condolence: Dear Edmonds Family,
I met Janet at MUN shortly after her Miss Newfoundland crowning. Although I did not know her well, I soon discovered, like many others, that she was a beautiful person with a kind heart. Her generous spirit and kindness to me at that time, I have never forgotten. I wish you all peace and love. Sincerely, Michelle

Condolence: I'm so very sorry for your loss. My sister Susan and I worked at the Park Avenue Tim Hortons when it first opened. Joy and I were in the same grade and Janet was in the same grade as my brother. As a seventeen year old girl, I remember feeling intimidated by Janet's beauty and her accomplishment of becoming Miss Newfoundland. What I soon discovered is Janet was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside, much like her sister Joy. May you all be comforted by the outpouring of love and support surrounding you. "And we wept that one so lovely should have a life so brief." - William Cullen Bryant
