Passed peacefully away at St Patrick's Mercy Home, Elizabeth Ave., June 8th ,2017. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Edith Mifflen and beloved brother Graham, 1995. Jessie was a graduate of the General Hospital class of 1966, School of Nursing. Jessie traveled through parts of Europe‎ after her graduation. A trip that left an indelible impression on her and instilled a life long love of travel. She nursed at the "old" General for many years and later at the Health Science: Left with loving memories her devoted sister in law, Joan Mifflen (Lorne Janes), Nephew Stefan Mifflen, wife April. Nieces: Natasha Mifflen (Taylor and Matthew) Vanessa Mifflen (Claire). Four cousins in NS. Her room mate Mrs. Spurrell and the friends she made at Karwood Retirement. Also leaving with fond memories a circle of special friends and nursing colleagues, two special friends Alma Trickett RN and Cherry Tucker. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff of St Patricks and Karwood Retirement, Doctors L. Alteen, Bruce Hollett and Wade Young. As per Jessie's request, Cremation has taken place. Waking at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 from 2pm-4pm. Service to follow at 4pm. Scattering of her ashes by her family later. A gentle soul laid to rest. Till we meet again my love. No flowers by request, donations may be made in Jessie’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
