Condolences

Condolence From: Ken and Doris Taylor
Condolence: To Phyllis, Susan, Cathy, June, Heidi, spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family members. Please accept our sincere condolences in the loss you have suffered with dear Harvey’s home call. This will leave you all with a sense of sadness but we are thankful that this will be tempered by the knowledge that he has gone to be with the Lord and Saviour whom he loved. He has looked forward to this for many years. My friendship with Harvey goes back to 1965 when we stayed in the same boarding house in Corner Brook. He was a very helpful companion in my early days as a Christian, we enjoyed discussing the Scriptures and preaching the gospel in open air meetings. Harvey will be remembered for his kindness and thoughtfulness of others. He was marked by a cheerful spirit and had a happy demeanor even through periods of discomfort. Harvey always enjoyed times of conversation during visits at his home and later in the care home. These chats always revealed an interest in others and the Lord’s work. Harvey was warm-hearted and personable. He loved to speak about the Saviour, and especially His return. Doris remembers that he always mentioned the Lord’s coming in his gospel messages. We are thankful that he is now with the Lord and fully enjoying His presence. We will remember you in our prayers. May the Lord comfort you during this time of separation. Our love to you all, Ken and Doris Taylor

Condolence From: Scott & Elizabeth Goff
Condolence: Dear Phyllis, Susan, Cathy, June , Heidi, and families, Scott & I want to send our love & sympathy to you all at this difficult time. The most vivid memories of Harvey for me are of him rising to his feet during the worship meeting and giving thanks to the Lord he loved . He loved to offer thanksgiving for the amazing salvation he enjoyed. The gospel was his delight and he got joy from sharing his faith with others. He was, indeed a happy man. You've lost a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa but for him it is very far better. May the Lord bring comfort as only He can and please know we are remembering you all in prayer during this difficult time.

Condolence: Dear Phyllis and family, At this difficult time of loss, we want to send our sincerest sympathy to you all. We have the wonderful hope that it is only for a little while, and we will be re-united to be forever with the Lord. What a glorious prospect! We have very fond memories of dear Harvey over many years, but what stands out very clearly is that he was a happy man. Whenever we visited, especially in later years, it was so evident that he had the joy of the Lord in his heart. It seemed apparent that he was aware of the Lord's presence being in the room with him. His conversation was about the Lord, His people, His work, and His coming. During our visits told us of the different opportunities he had to share the good news of the gospel where he was living. He was faithful in his witness. We also are very thankful that he was a man of prayer, and will now miss the prayers of our dear brother. He has finished what the Lord put in his hands to do, and is now "at home" with His Lord and Saviour. We thank the Lord for the memory of our dear brother. May you all find comfort and peace from the Lord, through the scriptures and the Lord's people. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Ps. 116:15
