SMITH, EILEEN (nee Shea) – Passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller centre at St. John’s on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her husband: Thomas; parents: Aloysius & Martha; sons: Tommy, Donny, Giles & Stephen. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Sharon, Susan (Rick), Scott (Kristina); grandchildren: Adam (Sherry), Erin & Caighlan; great-grandchildren: Maya & Oliver; sisters: Dorothy Rose, Betty Willmore & Laura Dillon; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at the palliative care unit (Dr. L.A. Miller Centre), North Pond Manor & Louise (Louie) King. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 1-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Barrett’s Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Internment to follow at the Anglican cemetery, Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
