Grace White - May 16, 1944 – July 10, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Clara & Noah Burry; and brother Lorne. Leaving to mourn with precious memories her daughter, Kimberly Hillier (Dwaine) of Alberta; son, Stephen (Zoe) of Mount Pearl; and her 3 dearly loved grandchildren: Brittany, Brendan, and Liam. Lovingly cherished by her sisters: Loretta Jenkins (Herb) of Mount Pearl, Audrey Butler (Walter) of Ottawa, and Rowena Murphy (Peter) of Mount Pearl; brother David Burry (Lorraine) of Greenspond; sister-in-law: Connie Burry of Fayetteville, North Carolina and special friend Maple Johnson; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sincere thanks to Dr. Smith, Dr. Powell, Dr. Pokini, nurses & staff of the H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, her community health nurses, and homecare workers. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, July 12th, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Cremation to follow with a memorial service to be held at Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, July 13th, at 2:00pm.
