PIERCEY, Evelyn Kathleen – It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Evelyn Piercey on Monday, July 10, 2017. Evelyn Piercey age 88 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Irvin and brothers: John and Reginald Flowerday. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Janet (Irvin) Green, Deborah Piercey, Patricia (Robert) O’Leary and Carol (Ian) Wheeler; grandchildren: Jason (Nicole), John (Tara), Calvin (Alison) and Adam (Maura) Green, Jessica Higdon, Abby (Ryan) Gauthier, Joseph and Laura O’Leary, Kathryn (David) and Allyson Wheeler; great grandchildren: Noah, Nora, Ellie, Maggie, Jane, Kate, Charlie and Henry; nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. At Evelyn’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. and Friday, July 14, 2017 from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett’s Chapel, Mt. Pearl. Private family interment to be held at a later date in Winterton. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
