Condolence: Although I only knew Aunt Evelyn in person a few short years, I can remember as a little girl hearing about my Grandpa Reg's wonderful sister from out East. Getting the chance to take a trip with my Grandma Marie and Mom Lori to Newfoundland in the summer of 2014 was an amazing experience. Throughout our time "on the rock" I was amazed at the knowledge, sense of humour and overall spunk of Great Aunt Evelyn. She was so proud to have us visit and those memories will be ones I hold dear forever. Of those memories one I can't get out my head these past few days is the sight of Aunt Evelyn determined to head down the walkway to Cape Spear, after her taking only a brief head start I had to get up a slight jog to catch up with her and her 85 or so years to my 24. Having her take a trip to Ontario to attend my wedding in the fall of 2015 was such an honour. It made me feel like my Grandpa Reg was closer to me that day and for that I am forever grateful. My sincere condolences to the Piercey family as you mourn the loss of your beloved mother and Grandmother. I hope you can take comfort in your memories with an amazing woman and in knowing that heaven just got a whole lot brighter. All my love from Ontario Amilia
