Vokey, Wallace (Wally) – Passed away peacefully at the Health Science Complex on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in his 86th year, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves with fond and loving memories his cherished wife of 59 years Norma (Parsons); three sons: Paul (Cathy), Blair (Wendy), and David (Tracy); four grandchildren whom he loved so dearly: Laura (Michael) Hann, Tyler Vokey, Cole Vokey, and Cassy Vokey; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gone but never forgotten, Wallaces’ legacy is a testament to what a loving devoted husband and father is meant to be . He lived his life with unconditional love and support for his family. Wallace touched many lives and was admired by all whom he met. The most contented man anyone ever met, he lived with a vigour for life, loved a good laugh, and never flinched in his support of those whom he loved. Visitation will be at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Monday, August 21st, from 7:00pm-9:00pm; and on Tuesday, August 22nd, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at Barrett’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 23rd, at 2:00p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
