Parrott, Melvin Vincent – Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre on Friday, August 18, 2017, in the presence of his loving family, at age 70. Predeceased by his beautiful daughter Wendy, sister Emily, brother Tom, and parents Elizabeth & Gerald. Left with fond and loving memories his loving wife Alice (Pittman) of St. Bernard’s; son Michael (Lisa) of St. John’s; grandchildren: Allie, Evan, and Sara; sisters: Marion and Sheila of Brooklyn, New York, and Marie (John) of Mount Pearl; brothers: Gerald (Bernice) of Oakville, Ontario, Don (Annette) of Mount Pearl, Wayne (Rose) of St. Bernard’s, Bernard (Sheila) of St Bernard’s, and Frank (Betty) of Mount Pearl; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit and the staff of Rosemore Home Care Services for their exceptional care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home. 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s, on Monday, August 21st, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Kevin’s Parish, Goulds, on Tuesday August 22nd , at 9:30 am. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care unit at the Miller Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society. Pleas visit www.barretts.ca to sign the memorial guest book.
