Bruce, Gordon William – Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at age 76. Youngest child of Bill & Mary (Bennett) of Mt. Arlington Heights, Placentia Bay. Gordon is predeceased by his wife Monnie; sisters: Mary, Laura, and Nora; brother Ambrose; sisters-in-law: Magdalen, Mary, and Sheila; brothers-in-law: Simon and Peter. Left with cherished memories his daughters: Susan and Mary-Lou; treasured pets Finnegan and Duke; sisters: Mildred Murphy, and Lucy; brothers: Wilfred and Bob (Delores), and their families; lifelong friends: David & Moya Griffiths, Tom & Marion Griffiths, Don & Barb Harris, and Jimmy & Eileen King; also a large circle of very special nieces, nephews, and friends. A devoted husband, adoring father and loyal friend, Gordon’s love of family was evident in everything he did. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Friday, September 16th, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Queen of the World Parish on Saturday, September 16th, at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
