LEE, Shirley Rose – April 1, 1934 – September 13, 2017. It is with loving hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Rose Lee, at age 83, on Wednesday September 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband: Weldon; parents: Robert and Theresa Boyles; mother and father – in -law: John and Lucy Lee; brother: Gerald; sisters: Doris and Bernice; son-in-law: Mike; brothers-in-laws: Clinton, Jack, Ronald Chafe, Thomas Tancock and Eric Ruby and sister-in-law Donna Lee. Left with fond and loving memories son: Clinton (Diane); daughters: Judy Kelly, Jacqueline Williams (Marcel) and Lorianne Dalton (Paul); her cherished grandchildren: Joshua, Justin, Meghan, Kennedy ( friend Nathan), Lee (friend Julia), and Mariah (friend Joshua); sister: Audrey Ruby; sisters-in-laws: Marjorie Boyles, Grace Chafe and Cynthia Schwartz (Philip); brothers-in-law: Rev. Ron Lee (Joan), George (Elizabeth), Winston (Bernice -deceased), Frank (Beverley) and William (Beverley), also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who enjoyed a good game of cards, knitting and watching sports with her family. We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to mom’s home care workers Dana, Jacqueline, Elaine and Crystal who took exceptional care of mom the last 4 years. We would also like to thank the nurses and doctors of the CCU at the Health Science Complex. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, 1:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Goulds. Interment to follow at Presentation Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations in Mom’s memory can be made to St. Paul’s Church or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
