Hawkins, John Gordon – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Gordon Hawkins of Mount Pearl at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 86 years of age. Predeceased by his parents Reginald & Lillian Hawkins; and sister & brother-in-law, Alfreda & Bruce Crowther. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Betty of 63 years; his children: Cathy (Sheridan) of Ontario, Mike (Andrea), Rick (Sharon), Susan (Randy), and Rob (Pam) of Ontario; sister Rowena (Jim) Burns of Australia; brother Reg (Lorraine) of Ontario, and Sheila (Sid) Richardson of Australia; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 2:00pm-5:00pm and from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Monday, October 16th, at 2:00 pm.
