Obituary for Beulah Mae Penney (nee Brake)

PENNEY, Beulah Mae (nee Brake): Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Friday, October 20, 2017. Beulah Penney aged 91 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years: William George Penney, of St. John`s; parents: Bernard Brake and Frances Brake (nee Fizzard), of Creston North; sisters: Ena Bauer (Harold), of Moncton, NB, and Joan Mayo (Max), of Creston South; brothers: Chesley Brake, of Creston North and Bruce Brake (Peggy), of Curling; brothers and sisters-in-law: Evelyn Greening, of Port Blandford, Alex and Cassie Penney, of Port Blandford, Jack and Edna Penney, of Port Blandford, Thomas and Margaret Wicks, of Gander and Chesley Penney, of Gander. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Donna Lynn Penney, of Vancouver, BC, Debra Frances Tucker (Andrew), of St. Philips, NL and much loved grandsons: William ``Jeremy`` Andrews, of Grand Prairie, AB and ``Andy`` Marcel Tucker, of St. Philips; brother: Gerald Brake (Joan), of Kingston, ON; sister: Ruby White (Norm), of Corner Brook; brother-in-law: Raymond Penney (Evelyn), of Port Blandford; sisters-in-law: Bernice Penney, of Gander, NL and Viola Heath, of Tampa, FL, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Many thanks and much appreciation go to the staff of 4NE, Long Term Care, St. John`s, for the care and attention given to our mother. A special thank you is extended to the staff of Meadow Creek Retirement Centre for their concern and care as well while she resided there. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 7:00 pm. – 9:00 pm. and Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00 pm. – 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. – 9:00 pm. A private family service will take place at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted as mom dearly loved having flowers around her and always had them in her gardens.
