Obituary for Edward "Fred" Neil

Edward "Fred" Neil
NEIL, Edward ``Fred`` : Born January 24, 1954, passed away November 5, 2017 after a long battle with congestive heart disease, in the love and comfort of his devoted daughter Leslie.
Fred is predeceased by his beautiful daughter Amanda, and he was secure in his faith knowing they would be together once again. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Roberta (Bobbie), brothers Wade and Ric, and sister Mary, as well as sisters in law, Peggy and Judy.
Fred had a big heart and was loved by many. His nieces and nephews were all very dear to him.
Although Fred had two daughters Amanda and Leslie, his heart was won over by three other girls he affectionately referred to as his “other daughters”, Krista, Tammy, and Kristie. One of Fred`s biggest joys, although only for a short while, was to be poppy Fred to his beloved Emily. She brought tremendous joy to his heart. He cherished them all. Three other special young men, shared his life and his love. Trevor, Rob, and Ed, you all held a special place in his heart. Friendship was also a quality Fred shared with so many. No one as much as his life long friends, Terry and Carolyn Penney. His involvement in volunteer work was his passion. He enjoyed many years “Serving the Communities Greatest Need” with the Kin Club of Paradise. To those who knew Fred well, his passion was participating in the Christmas food hamper drive, and donations for that special project will be accepted in his memory. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 2:00 pm. – 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. – 9:00 pm. and on Thursday from 2:00 pm. – 4:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. – 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 am. in Barrett`s Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers are also gratefully accepted.
