Passed peacefully away on November 8, 2017 at the Health Science Complex, Edward Charles Newhook, age 90 years. Predeceased by his parents: Samuel and Priscilla ; brother: Gerald. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 67 years: Marion (Wells); children: Glenda of Mount Pearl, Sheridan (Cathy Hawkins) of Ontario, Michele (Evan Kipnis) of St. John’s and Keri (Hue Hicks) of Harbour Main; brother: David Newhook (Elaine); sisters: Marie Flynn and Donna (Bill Butt); his beloved grandchildren: Renay Newhook (Karen), Sam Newhook (Jacie), Robyn Newhook and Ali (Rob Smirle), Tara Kelleher, Alana Kelleher (Nelson Baro), Jacob, and Eli Bronson, Zev, and Gabe Kipnis; great-grandchildren: Atlas Smirle, Kayden and Bryce Newhook; sister-in-law: Lillian Wells Aszmus, Arizona; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 7pm-9pm and Sunday, November 12 from 2pm-4pm. Funeral service to take place at Barrett`s Chapel on Monday, November 13 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Emmaus House, Daffodil Place or a charity of one`s choice.
