Condolence From: Warren and Wanda Meek
Condolence: To Morgen and Lauren and families, We are saddened by the death of your father. Please accept our sincerest condolences and we pray for your strength in these days of grieving. As you knew and have witnessed in these online tributes, your Dad affected so many people he met in such a positive way. His story telling was spectacular. We first met in 1978 as we were embarking on our Shoppers Drug Mart journey. Along the way one particular memory I have is when we were in the lobby of the Hotel Beausejour in Moncton New Brunswick when your Dad spied an available Grand Piano and sat down and played as if it was his own. And it was for that point in time. It was a pleasure to have known him! Our kind regards and sympathies.

Condolence: Carson was definitely special – a good man with a big heart and a sensitive soul. He had the gift of making others feel at home and at ease, and used it with great generosity. I always looked forward to seeing him when I was in Halifax for the cosmetic shows or he was in Toronto for the buying shows. Carson just naturally stood out and easily won affection as he drew you in with his warmth, wit, humour and engaging personal charm. To Morgen, Lauren and David, my heart is full of compassion for your family and I am so sorry for your incredible loss. He will not be forgotten.

Condolence: I met Carson and Bettie through the Harley Owners Group. We rode together often and as I have read in many of these condolences, Carson had the ability to light up the room just by walking in. His quick wit and his sense of humor had everyone laughing in no time. He will be missed but now he is with his beloved Bettie. For his daughters and grandsons, keep the good times close to your heart for that is what will sustain you in the difficult times to come.

Condolence From: Jim& Virginia Woodman
Condolence: Dear Morgan & Lauren, we are deeply saddened by your father's passing. We know that there are no words to say that can alleviate the pain. Theirs was a true love that we can maybe never understand. The bond between your mom and dad was one of extreme closeness. in some respects we envy them, but know that they are at peace together. In our short time that we knew them, we always enjoyed the time we had with them, the laughs, the fun, the comradery, and for Carson, his constant ability to make light of any situation. He will be missed. let us remember the true love he had for your mom and try to see the loneliness he felt for Betty through his eyes, then and only then will we be able to understand. Our sincere regrets at this very difficult time. God bless you both and your families. Thinking of you always. Jim & Virginia Woodman

Condolence: Morgen and Lauren, Brenda and I were heartbroken to hear of your Dad’s passing. We were both neighbours and became such good friends with your Dad and Mom over the years. We had wonderful motorcycle rides together and enjoyed their addictive and fun loving personalities. In my conversations with your Dad over the past couple of years, I could see the struggles he faced and the void in his life that nothing could seem to fill. Just wanted you to know that each time we did talk it became evident just how much he loved his kids and grandkids. Your Dad was so strong for so very long! Miss you my friend. RIP
