Condolence From: Todd Kearney
Condolence: Dear Aunt Cynthia, Donna and Roger, so very sorry to hear the sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Although its seems like a lifetime ago that I've seen Uncle Don, I have great memories of South River. The pouring of the basement floor where all the brothers were pushing cement and I was only allowed to watch, the washout at the front after a heavy rain, the laughs jigging for squid, and the release of all those eels, to name a few. Needless to say all those great memories of South River usually start or include with Uncle Don. All our love, Todd (& family)

Condolence From: Aaron Stevenson
Condolence: Dear Cynthia and family, I’m deeply sorry to hear about your loss. To me, Uncle Don was often a man of few words but with a quick wit. Some of my favorite memories of Don were when he would take my sister Nikita and I down to the Bay Area for flea markets on early Sunday mornings; cod fishing with my father Fred in his boat off the South River wharf, and duck hunting with Uncle Bill and Cousin Jeff. In university and the years to follow, I would always try to visit Don and Cynthia whenever I could for a chat … and to see what was happening on Coronation Street. Don was always reliable and willing to help anyone when they were in a time of need. I’m sure anyone who knew Don will miss him. “Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow” – Robert Louis Stevenson Thinking of you, Aaron

Condolence: Cynthia, It was sad to hear of the passing of your husband Don, first cousin to my mother Tama Sillit Winters. We took mom to visit with youse when mom came to town. I will always be grateful also to the kindness Don expressed to my sister Ruth. He often got her a Christmas tree. I enjoyed our chats about my atasiak and my great aunt, Don's mother Justina, about he and his brothers and sisters growing up in Labrador and then at South River. He was family and he made sure he made me feel that he was. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. Condolences Cynthia to you, your daughter, son, spouses and yours and Don's family. May he rest in peace. Love to all. Nalligivagit Don!!!
