Condolence: Jackie and all the Pottle family,
Words cannot begin to describe the sadness I felt at the loss of yet another of my extended family. The memories growing up in Buchans , visiting in Random Island and telling each other sailor stories , are ones I will always cherish.
The last time I saw Jim was at his apartment in St. John’ s . We had a wonderful evening joking, telling stories and singing songs while Jim played his guitar.
Until we meet again my cousin, my friend, my comrade.
Sailor Rest Your Oars. We have the watch.

Condolence: Jackie and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Jims passing. When I came to Random Island as a young teacher in 1990 , he took me under his wing as a second daughter. He was a marvellous mentor and friend. For as long as Christmas puddings were made at the school, he hand delivered one to me even after I had started teaching in Clarenville. He had a brilliant intellect and was such a critical thinker.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you say goodbye to your Dad. God bless .
