Obituary for Alan Gill

Alan  Gill
Alan was born in Nottingham, England. He met his wife Natalie while visiting St. Johns in 2000, married her in 2002 and has resided in St. Johns ever since. Passed suddenly yet peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on February 27, 2018 at the age of 95. Leaving to mourn, his wife Natalie Butler Gill, four sons in the UK. John (Rhian), Geoffrey (Heulwen), Christopher (Stella) and Vincent (Jill), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Alan was a World War II veteran, joining the RAF in 1940 and serving until 1979, retiring as a Flight Lieutenant. After the air force he went into finance with a life investment company until retiring at the age of 65. He was Past Master and treasurer of the Prestatyn Masonic Lodge in North Wales and treasurer of Rhuddlan Seniors Golf Club, and was an avid golfer. In St. John’s Alan was treasurer of the Royal Commonwealth Society for many years and a member of Whiteway Masonic Lodge. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm.
