We've shared a long friendship with the Lee family dating back to the 1960s when I first met Eddie's sister, Eileen, while attending university in St. John's. I have great memories of Mr. and Mrs. Lee, Eileen, Mike and Eddie from many visits to their home in Riverhead. As the years passed and the family grew to include spouses and children, Russell and I had many opportunities to get to know you all.

We were so surprised and saddened to learn of Eddies passing.It will be so strange when we visit home and not be able to drop by or wave to Eddie.Growing up we all shared so many great times playing hockey baseball and soccer.In particular I treasure the Saturday night hockey games when television first came to Riverhead and Eddies knowledge of all the statistics on the players.Eddie was a gentleman always with a smile and a great sense of humour.Sadly we cannot attend the funeral since we are still in Vancouver but we hope to see you guys this summer and raise a glass to Eddie.
