It is with sadness in our hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our Precious Mother, Mother-In-Law and Grandmother surrounded by her loving family, Helen Tilley (nee Ash) on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her adored husband Frank Tilley (2003), brother Roy Ash (2011) and son in law Peter Kelly (2003)
Leaving with so many cherished and wonderful memories are her 3 sons: Jimmie Johnston, St. John’s, Jim (Violet), Courtice, Ontario, Bob (Val), Mt. Pearl; three daughters: Patsy Kelly, St. John’s, Jewell (Ross Avery), Clarenville and Wanda (Ray Palmer). Mom Tilley as she was so affectionately and lovingly called also leaves 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and nieces: Glenys Taylor (New Brunswick), Alison Horner, Jewel Tulk and Nelda Adams. Also left with special memories are a large circle of friends, her friends and staff at Hillcrest Estates and her Church family at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held from the Church of the Good Shepherd on Ruby Line, Mt. Pearl at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 26th, 2018.
Interment to follow at The Field of Honour, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Newfoundland, Dr. H.
