Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s Home in the Angel Room in the presence of her loving family on April 11th, Violet King in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her parents (Arthur and Elizabeth Deering), husband (Simeon) and numerous brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn are her three daughters Elizabeth (Howard), Glenda (Derek deceased), and Carol (Dan) and one son Eric (Karen); nine grandchildren Suzanne (Greg), Craig, Derek (Juanita), Robin (Tonya), Kenneth (Marissa), Jennifer, Dana (Tom), Kelli-Anne (Neil) and Diane (Stephen); fifteen great grandchildren (Amanda (Brody), Samantha, Vanessa, Nathan, Leslie (Danielle), Melanie (Jared), Robin Jr. (Melanie), Rebecca, Charlie, Morgan, Cameron, Emily, Taylor, Jacob and Lauren; two great great grandchildren Darius and Weston; two sisters Florence and Elsie, one brother Gilbert, one sister-in-law Effie and one brother-in-law Howard. Special thank you to the staff of St. Luke’s Home for all their care and compassion. As per Violet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, April 14th at Bauline United Church. Interment will take place at Bauline United Church Cemetery afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bauline United Church or St. Luke’s Home.
