Passed peacefully away June 13th, 2018 at the Waterford Hospital after a courageous battle with dementia surrounded by his family and close friends at the age of 71. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Mary, his daughter Tina (Craig Rideout), his son Carl (Charmaine) and his daughter Corinne (Cory Squires). Six precious grandchildren Nicholas, Lauren, Kara, Brody, Joshua and Allie. Brother Jim, Sisters Audrey and Jean. Sisters in-law Sis (Don) Earle, Brothers in-law Raymond (Maureen) Doyle, Patrick (Bernadette) Doyle, Leo (Cecilia) Doyle, Dennis (Rhonda) Doyle, Gerald (Ollie) Doyle and Tom Ryan. Close friends Pam and John Royal and family. As well as many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Irene, sister Voilet (Walt) Dawe, brother David (Jean and nephew Glen) Whitten, brothers in law Arthur Rheaume, nephew Randy Best and Clarence Dominey. Sisters in-law Helen Ryan, Mary Whitten and Alice Doyle. In-laws Dennis and Mary Doyle. Special thanks to Paul Barrett and all the nursing staff at east 2A as well as Dr. T and Dr. Lee. For all their wonderful care, support and kindness. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 7pm-9pm, Friday, June 15 from 10am-9pm and Saturday, June 16 from 10am-12pm. Funeral service to follow at St. Philips Anglican Church at 2pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Edward’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
