I had the privilege to work with Harrison at NewCap Radio. Regardless of the issue, minor or major, or time of day, you could always count on him to calmly rectify the matter. Mixed in with his tremendous technical knowledge, was his great wit and sense of humor. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Condolence: To the family of Harrison,

When I saw his name and picture, it immediately took me back to the days when I did Radio & Television Arts with Colin Jamieson. Harrison was one of the instructors. He taught us production techniques, tv interviewing, looking good on camera.

Always professional. He told us lots of great stories of his CBC days too.

Rest in peace!!!

Condolence: June, Rob and family, so sorry to hear that Harrison has gone on. He was my boss back in my early years at cbc tv. A smart guy and wonderful fellow to work for - a real team leader. Hatch knew every aspect of the broadcast industry and we learned a lot from him. Thanks Hatch. All the best.

Condolence From: Andy Newman Paula Giovannini
Condolence: It’s with sadness that Paula and I write our condolences to June and Rob. We had the fortune to have Hatch in our lives twice. We could not have gotten our projects where they were without his steady hand and knowledge. The second time, he went back to the books to learn our digital system and when he took sick, he left behind amazing notes and diagrams. Many conversations about the early days of radio and his career out west and up north. And many spirited discussions about politics. A quality human being and a gentleman. And when the rubber met the road, no matter the time of day...or night..he was there. We were blessed to have him.
