Condolences

Condolence From: Valerie (Vessey) Taylor
Condolence: I’m not sure how many of you know me , probably Eileen and or jean. I am Dolly Simms daughter, who was Fay’s first cousin. ( her mother was Nellie ( Ellen) Eveleigh, Jim Eveleigh’s sister.
I have crossed paths over the years with Fanny (Fay) but I know that she kept in touch with my mother who lived in Lewisporte and I know she visited Mom while she lived in Gander. For that I am much appreciative.
As the Eveleighs are my only relatives there is an open invitation to any of you that would like to visit me in Lewisporte. My address is 69 Main st. 535 2265.
Fay had a full life and like her I enjoyed my teaching career.
My condolences to all her family.

Condolence: Jean,Lorraine,Jim.Madeline and extended Eveleigh Family members: Although we never knew your Aunt Fanny personally, she was certainly part of the collective memory that was my mother's(Joyce-Decker Anthony),and was very much included in her many stories of her "growing-up" days in Joe Batt's Arm.By all accounts she was a wonderful teacher who is remembered fondly to this day(as witnessed by the tributes to her),and lived a very interesting and productive life over the 102 years she was blessed to have had on this earth. Please accept our most sincere sympathy as you mourn her passing but rejoice and give thanks for her longevity, and having had the good fortune to have been an integral part of her life.
Also,Jean and Lorraine we only see the two of you now and then but perhaps will get a chance to see you sometime this Summer when we are on "the Island".

(In friendship: Dave & Melinda)

Condolence: I have many memories of Fay but the one that stands out is her skill of tatting. She could make that shuttle fly! My sincere and deep sympathy to her family. She will be fondly remembered by many.

Condolence From: Rod Keeping
Condolence: I am saddened to hear of Fay's passing. I was so looking forward to attend her 103 birthday. Fay was my Kindergarten Teacher at Channel-Port-Aux- Basques many years ago. I learned in 2015 that she was living in St. John's and visited her on her 99th.Birthday. It was a beautiful meeting and sharing our memories.

My sincere condolences to all of her families. Now we can thank God for the gift of memory that he has given us all and enjoy our memories that we have. Gods Blessings for you all as you leave your loved one for God's care and keeping.

Rod
