Obituary for Kevin Joseph Walsh

Kevin Joseph Walsh
Kevin Joseph Walsh (aka: Sculler) age 74, who was short in stature but blessed with an enormous personality, an infectious smile and a beautiful heart, passed peacefully away in the presence of his son Shannon, his daughter Lynn and his brother Bill on July 12, 2018. He had a life-long love affair with codfish, corned beef hash, meatballs n'gravy, Vienna sausages, Kit-Kat and Crispy Crunch bars, cream soda and many other nutritious snacks from the 4 basic food groups. He took fashion cues from no one, often pairing a leather Roots jacket with pajama pants to run to the store or go shopping but always ensured he spritzed on a bit of Old spice because " You never know who you might run into." While Kevin enjoyed random long drives or cruises to the stage with the music on blast, he also made time for a scattered game of pool with friends and family where he won more than he lost (or so he said). Kevin is predeceased by: his loving father and mother (William and Annie Walsh) and brothers Leo, Ed, Stan and Jimmey. Leaving to mourn: Kevin will be lovingly remembered by son Shannon (Amanda), daughter Lynn (Rich), sisters: Jenny (Joe), Doreen, Anne and Dolly; brothers Bill (Penny), Wayne (Janet), George (Janice), Mike and Paul. Cousin Rick Walsh (Carol) and good buddy Donald Churchill. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Sunday, July 15 from 2pm-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations are gratefully accepted to the local SPCA or the Gathering Place. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Clares on 7 east and a huge thank you to the ladies of Katherine House on LeMarchant Road.
