Mildred Mary  Griffin
Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke’s Homes, with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 Mildred Griffin, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Tom (2005); daughters: Mildred (1954) & Dorothy (1956); parents: Thomas & Rebecca Norman; brothers: Willie, Fred & Tom; sisters: Beatrice, Ada & Nora. Leaving to mourn her sons: Robert (Monica) & Thomas (Cheryl); daughters: Phyllis Brennan (Nick), Joan Wakeham (John) & Ada Mullett (Bill); granddaughter: Lavetta Griffin, the apple of her eye & her husband, Charlie Clayton; great-granddaughter: Molly; great-grandson: Oscar; brother: James Norman (Alice); sisters: Mary Follett, Lillian Jefford, Sarah Peters (Tom), Geraldine McWilliam (Bruce); sisters-in-law: Mary Norman, Mary (Dwyer) Norman & Celine Hammond; brother-in-law: Terry Dwyer; many nieces, nephews, cousins & a large circle of friends. The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Dr. Penny & the staff at Saint Lukes for their care & compassion. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave with visitations on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 7pm-9pm & Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 10am-4pm & 7pm-9pm. Funeral service to be held from St. Teresa’s Parish on Friday, September 7 at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Mildred’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
