VEY, Linda Pauline (nee Pope) - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister & friend. Linda Pauline Vey (nee Pope), aged 62 years, passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park in the presence of her loving family and friends on Friday, September 7, 2018. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence & Emma Pope, and brother Kenneth. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 43 years Robert, children Jody (Rebecca), and Trenton (Cathy), cherished grandchildren Natalie, Chloe, Owen, Jordan, and Abigail, sister Marina (Lloyd) Harris, in-laws Bert (Rose), Jimmy (Roz), George (Jeannie), Paul, Margie (Harry) Stapleton, Kim (Tony), Ida (Harold) Roberts, Monica (Wayne) Lawlor, Marie (George) Mercer, Mary (Cyril) Hutchings, Madonna (Walt) Mercer, Alice (Tom) Puddester, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as wonderful colleagues at Chancellor Park. Thank you to the medical and nursing staff on the fourth floor west, St. Clare’s, and a sincere and special thanks to the staff and friends at Chancellor Park for their exemplary care and compassion during her final days. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
