DEERING, Gilbert George (December 11, 1934 – October 6, 2018) – Passed peacefully away at his home on Saturday, October 6, 2018, Gilbert Deering in his 84th year. Predeceased by his loving wife, Pauline (nee Frampton); his parents, Arthur and Elizabeth (nee Wareham) Deering; as well as numerous brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn, his dear children: Cordell (Tina), Karen (Craig Shaw), Kathy (Allan Legrow), and Keith (Cathy); his adoring grandchildren: David (Janelle), Keith (Stephanie), Jessica (Gary), Genelle (Gerard), George (Destiney), Rebecca (Mike), Maggie and Keegan; great-grandchildren: Carter and Brianna; sisters: Elsie Reid and Florence Morgan; special brother-in-law, Charlie Frampton; special friends, Ron and Cindy Borden; his little buddies, Nathanial and Mason LeDrew; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Barrett’s Funeral Home. Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:30am-12:30pm. A celebration of Gilbert’s life will follow, in Barrett’s Funeral Chapel at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018.
