Condolence: Robert, Brian Laurie, and Karen I was lucky enough to see your Dad and have a chat with him on two occasions when I was home in August, once at Mom & Dad’s anniversary gathering and the other at the place your dad loved “The Gut”. Even though he wasn’t feeling 100% he was still smiling and reminiscing about old times. He sat in his chair in the “Stage” and talked about how much he’d love to help Brain build the wharf and putter around the property. Enjoy the memories he gave you.As your obituary noted he’ll likely start a new project and finish it to perfection at his own pace.

I never met your dad and hoped that I would have been able to on a future trip to your homeland. From your many stories about your dad, I do feel like I know him. He appeared to be fun loving, kind, generous and non judgmental and most of all a dedicated husband and father. He is now in God's hands, where he will be at peace and watching down on all of you.

We became acquainted with your dad while refurbishing his boat. Often times when out for a drive with your mom....he would stop by. We remember fondly his exuberant nature. It was only recent that my husband said he hadn't heard from Fred in awhile. We were sad to hear of his passing. May love and memories help to comfort you in the difficult days ahead.
