DOMINEY, Jean Agnes (nee Whitten)(March 20, 1932 – October 29, 2018) – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Monday, October 29, 2018, Jean Dominey. Jean was an amazing woman who gave until she couldn’t give anymore. Her charity work touched so many around the world, donating goods to various hospitals and shelters, and knitting hats, blankets and gowns for the Janeway. She always wanted to make sure the little children of the world were taken care. She even had her own charity “Lift High the Cross”. She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence (January 12, 2012); brothers: David Whitten (Jean) and Edward Whitten; sister, Violet Dawe (Walter); sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Noseworthy and Mary Whitten; and brother-in-law, Arthur Rheaume. Leaving with beautiful memories her loving family – daughters: Jackie Critch (Glen) and Tammy Gaulton (Todd); son, Gordon Dominey (Anna); grandchildren: Danny (Jessica), Kurtis (Candace), Krystal (Nick), Alyssa (Kyle), Christopher and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Ryely McIntyre, Noah Lawlor and Annika McIntyre; sister, Audrey Rheaume; brother, Jim Whitten; sister-in-law, Mary Whitten; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends – including her special niece Janis McDonald, who was more like a daughter to her. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, October 31, and Thursday, November 1, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00am, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Seal Cove.
