The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Florence Moores can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Florence Moores

MOORES, Florence (nee Young) – Passed peacefully away at her residence in the presence of her loving family, on November 8th 2018 at the age of 103. She is predeceased by her husband; Arthur, parents; William & Ethel Young, her 4 brothers; Louis, Albert, Trevor, Gerald, her 2 sisters: Phyllis & Olive, as well as her grandson Bryan. Leaving to mourn with precious and fond memories, her children; Karen, Gerald (Daphne), Donald (Helen), Glendon (Donna), 9 grand children, and 13 great-grandchildren. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 11th from 2-4 & 7-9 at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. A celebration of life will be conducted on Monday, November 12th at 1:00pm from Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue – with burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery immediately following the service.
