Condolence: Maxine, Blair & Family,
Nothing we can say, after Sim's passing, will be new to you, but we will add our voices to numerous others who have been saddened.
As we reflect upon many years, four words readily come to mind as apt descriptors of Sim: steady, thoughtful, insightful, and calm-cool-collected. An authentic Newfoundlander to the core, Sim was the "true salt of the earth".
Though we didn't chat as often as we should have, conversations we did have were very interesting especially those surrounding his experiences in the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
We will never forget his (and yours, Maxine) visits to Mom and Dad, especially at St. Luke's Homes during a 19-year period. Our family truly appreciated those, and the kindness you exemplified.
In closing, ponder the good times you shared as a FAMILY, the smiles, and sometimes the tears; they will be loving, lasting memories that your hearts will treasure forever. May you also celebrate a life well-lived. We offer our sincere condolences. Blessings.
