Condolence: We are saddened by Harold's passing, our condolences to the family. I knew Harold back in the 50's when we was just starting our careers. We renewed that friendship almost 20 years ago when Fred and I moved into Brentwood. Harold made an excellent friend, always there to lend a helping handing in the kindest of ways. A true gentleman always, he will be missed by all of us, especially in the garden at summertime, and the lounge in the cooler months. Harold rest in peace, Helen

Condolence From: Patrick & Elaine Stamp
Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to the Wareham family and our gratitude at having shared with them the boundless gift of Harold’s intellect, wisdom, optimism and wit. He eschewed attention and praise but his many accomplishments spoke eloquently to the tremendous knowledge, skill and enthusiasm he brought to every endeavour. We feel privileged to have known Harold this past 30 years and will sorely miss his presence in our lives. We will miss the frequent chats and occasional dinners. We will miss waving to him as we make the rounds of Kenny’s Pond. And we will miss the sight of him strolling down the garden path on a sunny day, pipe in-hand, inspecting the flowers he helped plant months before. Harold was a true gentleman. The universal esteem in which he was held will doubtless bring great comfort to those nearest and dearest to his heart. Our thoughts are with you.

Condolence: To Scott, Todd, Lisa and your families . I’m sorry to hear of your dads passing, Harold was a wonderful man. Mom and dad loved his visits. He would come in to get some bakeapples, rhubarb and moms homemade bread or just to chat about old times and life in Harbour Buffett. Often he would take them for a drive around Topsail then to Berg’s for ice cream. When Alton visited Newfoundland they always came to chat and have lunch. The stories they told brought joy to them all. May you get comfort knowing Harold is with God smiling down upon you all sending his love from above. God bless you. Jessie and Sid

Condolence: I still remember babysitting for you three children when you were very young, and we were neighbours on Wilcockson Crescent. Your father was always so kind to me, never failing to make sure I was home safely, even though it was all of four houses away. To have such a lasting impression of such short, sporadic encounters speaks volumes of your Dad's character. Keep your good memories close.

Condolence: Please accept my condolences on Mr. Wareham's passing. Apart from his children who provided treasured memories as students in my classroom, Mr. Wareham was instrumental in enabling the initiative to take students to French-speaking milieux, where they experienced the language and culture firsthand. Many students benefitted from those initial trips onward. A gentleman, not only to be admired, but also to be imitated, by those who follow.

Condolence From: Rick & Nancy Flynn
Condolence: I first meet Mr. Wareham when he was establishing Air Nova in early 1986 and recruiting the management team to execute on a plan for a new regional airline. The plan had been in the makings for over a year by a small team of Atlantis (mostly former X-EPA’ers) executives led by Harold. Harold’s vision to create a new regional airline was the seed that launched Air Nova’s first flight on July 14, 1986 operating in Atlantic Canada under a codeshare commercial agreement with Air Canada. The rest is history as Air Nova went on to become the catalysts for much of the consolidation in the Canadian regional airlines industry and continues to exist today as Air Canada Jazz. This is just one example of Harold’s visionary leadership which had been instrumental in many other ventures in the Newfoundland and Labrador business community. I knew Harold for over 30 years and what started out as a business mentoring relationship matured into a very personal friendship based upon my respect for his kindness, honesty and integrity. These ethical principles were imbedded into his DNA which acted as a rudder for his words and actions both in his personal and business life. All who knew him liked and respected him and he will truly be missed. Our deepest condolences to the Wareham family.
