Passed peacefully away on Sunday December 2, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Rita A. Symonds (nee Cook) in her 103rd year. Predeceased by husband Arthur (2005); and son David (1991). Rita was the daughter of the late Tasker and Annie Cook. She is also predeceased by her siblings Phyllis, Max, Tasker and Angus. Left to celebrate her long and healthy life are her son Roy (Linda); daughter Heather; grandsons Todd (Lisa), Andrew (Tanya) and Matthew; granddaughter Jillian Roberts (Joe); great-grandchildren Ryan, Evan, Kallie and Liam; sister Douglass Frampton and daughter-in-law Judy; other relatives and friends, especially those at the Caribou Legion Manors. The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at St. Patrick’s (3N) for their excellent care of our Mother. As per Rita’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral service to be held from St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Logy Bay Road on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11am. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
