Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at age 93. Predeceased by his wife Elfreda in 2008; parents Stella and Stephen Lawrence; sisters: Melita Dalton, and Susan Brooks; brothers: Oliphant, Otto, and Frank; and mother/father-in-law Olive and Cyrus Beck. Leaving to mourn his daughters: Muriel Stern ( Luke deceased), and Sharon McClelland (Glen); sons: Berkley Jr. (Sarah), Stephen (Jackie), Paul, and Perry (Violet); brother Rupert (Bertha deceased); sister Rose (Tom deceased); eleven grandchildren: Krista, Lesley, Jodi, David, Mike, Terri, Derek, Kevin, Sharon, Steven, and Samantha; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Berkley was a veteran of World War 2 and a long time member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service and interment to take place at later date.
