Obituary for
Leo Knox
It is with tremendous sorrow that the family of Leo Knox announce his passing, in the arms of his son Rod at the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre January 14, 2019. Leo is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary; his sisters Teresa, Loretta, Evelyn and Betty; his brothers Steven and Gerry and his baby girl Mirriam. Surviving with broken hearts is his wife of 75 years, Mary; 6 children Brenda (John), Pat (Patty), Kathleen (Keith), Stephanie (Ken), Greta (Colin) and Rod (Allison); the loves of his life, his 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Leo was a veteran of WW2 and served with the 166 Royal Artillery. He was a member of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department for 35 years and he was instrumental in the development of the Fire Prevention Program. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave with visitations on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 1pm-9pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11am. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Leo’s memory may be made to Children’s Wish Foundation.
