WHITE, Edward “Harry” – Passed peacefully away on Sunday, May 21st, 2017 at Chancellor Park, following a lengthy but courageous illness, Harry White, age 82 years. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Phoebe (Greenslade); and brothers: Jimmy and Bruce. Left to cherish his memory is Harry’s loving and caring wife of 60 years, Dorothy “Dot”, and his canine friend, “Maggie”; brothers: Fred, Winston (June); sister, Joan (Dave); brothers-in-law: Gordon, Frank (Joan) and David; sisters-in-law, Violet "Vi" and Debbie; also a large number of nieces, nephews, special niece “Lorraine” (whom Harry spoiled); special friends Ira and Amy, as well as other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Chancellor Park for their exceptional care and support. A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sutton (family Doctor) and Community Health Nurse, Jean for their outstanding care over the past number of years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, May 23, from 7-9pm and Wednesday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2:30pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel Band or SPCA.
