PIERCEY, Lily Mae (nee Hudson)– Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, Lily Piercey, age 86 years. Predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Roland; mother and father, Allen and Dorcas Hudson; sisters: Ena, Eliza, Olive, Viola, Marion and Genevieve; brother, Melbourne; son-in-law: Thomas Nelson; sisters-in-law: Bernice Hudson and Jemima Hudson; special friends: Mary Ryan and Millicent Vandersteen. Leaving to mourn, daughters: Pauline Webster (Clyde) (St. John’s) and Karen Nelson (Glen)(Kelligrews); and son Kevin (Peggy)(Mount Carmel); also leaving to mourn, 6 grandchildren: Shawn, Chad, Danielle, Corey, Thomas and Trevor; great-granddaughter, Lexi Lynn; brother, Herbert; special friend, Phyllis Normore; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, August 10, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Friday, August 11, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00am, with interment to follow at the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Lily’s memory may be made to Wesley United Church or the Canadian Lung Association.
