JANES, Douglas Wayne – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Douglas Janes age 66 years. Predeceased by his parents: Cecil and Pauline; brothers: James and Ian and sisters: Patsy and Betty. Leaving to mourn his children: Douglas Jr. (Karen), Jackie (Jason) Janes-Shannon, Robyn (Jeff) Howe, Ian Janes and Aimee Janes; grandchildren: Jordan Janes – Shannon, Kennedy Shannon, Mark, Emmitt and Aurora Janes and Lauren and Emily Howe, and extended family and friends. The Janes family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Ambulatory Treatment Unit of the Health Science Center and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital 7 West for their continuous compassion and care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Church of The Good Shepherd. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Douglas’ memory to the NL Lung Association.
