GILLAM, Valerie Constance – Passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, Valerie Constance Gillam of St. John’s, formerly of Dunville. Predeceased by both sets of grandparents, John and Ena Barrett of Curling, and Richard and Rita Gillam of Jeffreys. Leaving to mourn her daughter, Rebecca O’Keefe; her parents. Rose and Charlie Gillam of Mount Pearl; her brother, Brian (Rhonda) and nephew Zachary of Orleans, ON; her furry friends: Prince Webster, Mylie and Jingles; her aunt Matilda Morris; 2 uncles: Arthur Barrett of St. John’s and David Barrett (Louise) of Welland, ON; also her extended family of the Manuels, Dawes and Harris’, along with many cousins, friends – including special friends Arlene Tarrant and Joyce Brown – and co-workers from her 36 years as an LPN with Eastern Health. Visitation is from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Friday, October 19, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date.
