NEWHOOK, Joan – Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving children on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Joan Newhook age 72 years. Predeceased by her parents: Cleophas and Caroline Newhook and her partner George Bursey. Leaving to mourn her children Mark Peddle and Cora-Lee (Jason Fox) Peddle; grandchildren: Brianna and Charlotte Campbell -Peddle and Emma and Meghan Fox; sisters: Glenda (Clarence) Daly and Joy (Leo) Power; brothers: Don (Gloria), Ross (Doug Betts), Oral (Ivey) and Carter (Tracey), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. At Joan’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt Pearl on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel Mt. Pearl. Interment to take place AT Good Shepherd Anglican Cemetery, Norman’s Cove on Monday, November 12th at 1:00p.m. Reception to follow at the Church.
