Obituary for Joan Elizabeth Austin (Barritt)

AUSTIN, Joan Elizabeth (nee Barritt) – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, Joan Austin, age 97 years. Predeceased by her husband Ian; daughter, Denise; and parents, Frank and Elizabeth Barritt. Leaving to mourn and cherish her memory, her daughter, Carol; her son, Kevin (Karen); sisters: Mabel and Margaret; brothers: Jim and Frank; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held from West End Baptist Church on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 2:00pm, with a reception to follow at the church. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted of donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
