SQUIRES, Annie (nee Whalen) - Passed peacefully away in her 80th year on January 16, 2019 at the Health Science Centre, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Squires; brother Clarence Whalen; and sister Nellie Brace. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Christopher (Cynthia), Douglas (Susan) and Lisa McFarlane (Nicholas); as well as her precious grandchildren: Rebecca and Jessica Squires; Stephen and Katherine Squires and Colin, Kathleen and Tara McFarlane. Annie is survived by her brothers: Norman (Jean) Whalen, James (Jane) Whalen, Ford (Shirley) Whalen; and sister Glenis Whalen; as well as sisters-in-law: Judy Whalen, Vera Whalen, Vivian Squires and Maureen Roberts; precious sister-in-law Loretta (Donald) Hart; and close special friends: Lila and Harold Foley; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm on Monday January 21, 2019. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date.
