The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard "Rick" Barrett can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Life Story for Richard "Rick" John Barrett

BARRETT, Richard “Rick” John – Passed away peacefully in the presence of his nephew Richard and friends Mark and Steve, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on what was his 67 birthday. Predeceased by his mother Vera Barrett (nee March) and sister Diane Finlay. Leaving to mourn his nephew Richard Finlay (Elizabeth); special friends Mark Whalen; coffee buddies Steve and Angus Newell and a large circle of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Alf and Louise Pike for all their kindness and love towards Rickey over the years. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, August 21 from 1pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 22 at 11am, with cremation to follow. Private family inurnment to take place at a later date.
