So sorry to hear of Mr. Rooney's passing. I have such fond childhood memories of time spent at your home and in his company. He was always such a kind and generous man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. My thoughts are with you all.

Condolence: Shirley and family,
We were so sad to hear of John's passing. We knew his quality of life had been poor for quite a while. Now he is finally at peace.
He was a wonderful friend, husband, brother, father and grandfather. So many people will miss this quiet and gentle man.
Although we hadn't seen him for several years, we were always kept up to date on what was happening via other members of the family.
He will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with you all.
Hugs,
Peg and Roger

Condolence: Dear Jenny, my heart is heavy for you, and for your mum and brother. My deepest condolences to you all. You've always talked so lovingly about your dad. He was a lovely father to you, and you were a wonderful daughter to him. And my goodness how you look like him (I see from this pic). You have your dad's eyes, and now they shine on through you. I wish I was there for you today and Wednesday. But my heart is... with all of you, and I've prayed for your father by name every day since his passing. Sending love and hugs, Nina

Condolence: Dear Shirley and family,
We are both grieved and relieved that John has left this world - grieved because he will be greatly missed, and relieved that his long period of ill health is over. After nearly 50 years living next door we know we couldn't ask for better neighbours. He has been in our prayers the last several years, and will continue to be remembered for his cheerful helpful presence.
